The “Fire Force” manga, authored and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo, was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine by Kodansha from September 2015 to February 2022, with 34 tankōbon volumes collecting all the chapters. In North America, Kodansha USA holds the license for the manga’s English language release. With over 20 million copies in circulation as of May 2022, Fire Force is considered to be one of the top-selling manga series.

David Production produced the anime adaptation, which aired on MBS’s Super Animeism block from July to December 2019, and Funimation licensed the series. The second season was broadcast from July to December 2020, and a third season has been announced.

Plotline Of Fire Force Season 1 And 2

Fire Force takes place in a world where humans can suddenly burst into flames and turn into violent monsters. To combat these occurrences, highly skilled firefighters are needed. Shinra Kusakabe, also known as “Devil’s Footprints,” joins Special Fire Force Company 8 with the goal of ending these attacks and finding out the truth about his family’s death.

As the story progresses, Shinra and his team encounter other fire brigades and become embroiled in political intrigue and corruption. The ending of Season 2 was chaotic, with Tokyo engulfed in flames and enemies taking control. Tragically, Captain Hague of Company 4 lost his life in the final battle.

Season 3 is expected to focus on Shinra and his team forging alliances with other groups in Tokyo to strengthen their efforts against the White Clad and the Evangelist. Shinra’s newfound ability to see visions of Adolla, as well as his ability to view his captain’s final moments, will likely play a significant role in the upcoming season.
