Dana Terrace, who worked on the “Ducktales” revival and “The Mitchells against the Machines,” produced a new animated fantasy series called “The Owl House,” which launched on Disney Channel in 2020. “The Owl House” is about a little Dominican-American girl named Luz Noceda, who is voiced by Sarah-Nicole Robles and has a dream of becoming a strong witch.

The nineteen-episode first season of “The Owl House” aired on January 10, 2020. On Rotten Tomatoes, the program has a perfect score, and fortunately for fans, “The Owl House” was renewed for a second season even before the first aired (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Luz’s journey to study magic and show herself a capable witch in the Boiling Isles is the focus of Season 1 of “The Owl House.” Luz succeeds in acclimating to the magical world, and she’s quickly learning how to improve her affinity for light magic. Luz meets Willow and Gus along the road and becomes good friends with them, but she is always at odds with Amity, a competitive and aloof witch at hexside. However, as Luz and Amity become closer acquainted, Amity develops feelings for the other girl. Fans of “The Owl House” will have to wait until Season 2 to see how their love progresses.
