Ellie Goulding signed with Polydor Records in July 2009, but her first single, “Under the Sheets,” came out in the UK on November 15, 2009, on an independent label called Neon Gold Records.
After a successful appearance on Later… with Jools Holland, where they played “Under the Sheets” and “Guns and Horses,” and a UK tour in support of Little Boots, the single reached No. 53 on the UK Singles Chart.
