Up until this point in the season, Urías had been delivering performances with a 4.60 ERA (with a 4.13 xERA) and contributing a 1.2 fWAR over 21 starts. The Dodgers were already grappling with injuries in their pitching rotation, with Clayton Kershaw’s sporadic presence on the Injured List and Walker Buehler encountering setbacks.
