Since announcing their relationship to the world in February 2020, Amanda Bynes and Paul Michael have had their fair share of ups and downs.
Given that she kept her love life out of the spotlight to the point where many people were unaware she was seeing anyone, the actress surprised fans when she announced she was engaged to Michael at the time.
Bynes’ conservatorship, though, threatened to wreck her wedding plans. Lynn Bynes, who has been her conservator since 2014, is her mother. “Lynn believes Amanda is unable to make decisions regarding her care or treatment,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2020. “Lynn will ask Amanda to stay at a secure location.”
Michael announced the couple’s breakup three weeks after their engagement announcement. In March of 2020, Amanda was sentenced to a mental health treatment facility. At the time, she was said to have declined to check in.
The actress’s first child with Michael will be born in March 2020, according to Us Weekly. “Amanda is just barely pregnant and overjoyed,” a source said.
Amanda had been seen earlier that day at an OBGYN office. Her behaviour while waiting with a pal was described as “enthusiastic” by an eyewitness. “She kept a low profile and was dressed casually. Nobody bothered her because the foyer was rather empty.” Meanwhile, Michael failed to show up for the meeting.
During her pregnancy, the Amanda Show alum’s lawyer told Us in March 2020 that she was “getting treatment” for her “ongoing mental health difficulties.” “Any reports that Amanda is addicted to drugs or alcohol are entirely incorrect,” stated attorney David Esquibias. “We beg for privacy during this time, as well as a cessation of public and media speculation regarding Amanda’s personal life, so she may concentrate on getting better.”
The Easy A actor had previously been linked to Frankie Muniz, Taran Killam, and Drake Bell, in addition to Michael.

The What a Girl Wants actress announced her engagement on Valentine’s Day, but did not divulge Michael’s identity. She captioned an Instagram snap of her ring, “Engaged to tha love of my life.”
Three weeks after confirming their engagement, Michael confirmed on March 8 that he and the All That alum had broken up. He told In Touch, “We did.” “However, I adore her. “She’s one of my closest friends.” She was “very upset about it and not handling it well at all,” according to a source at the time.
On May 4, Bynes’ lawyer, David Esquibias, verified to Us Weekly that the former Nickelodeon star is not expecting a child.
In a life update she shared with fans, the Easy A star confirmed that she and Michael are still together. “Paul, the love of my life, and I are still engaged. I hope you’re all doing well! “On May 23, she posted on Instagram. Amanda also revealed that she has spent the “past two months in treatment” and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising through online classes.
Despite the fact that she was pictured wearing a wedding ring, Bynes’ attorney told Us exclusively that the actress and Michael were “not married.”
Bynes was pictured with a couple new tattoos after being officially released from her conservatorship, including one that appeared to be devoted to her beau. Her wrist was inscribed with the name Paul in a gothic typeface.
A source informed Us exclusively that the actress is “doing well” post-conservatorship. “She eats properly, exercises, and is always occupied,” the person said. “Amanda keeps herself occupied by helping out at various rehab institutions. She values giving back and was deeply moved by the selfless assistance she received — and continues to receive — during her sobriety journey.

A source stated that the couple “have a good circle of pals who come over for meals, hikes, and hangouts.” An insider said she maintains in touch with her parents, who have attempted “not to smother her” during her recovery.
A source told Us that Amanda and Paul are determined to staying together. “She claims he’s her man. He’s her life’s love and the man she wants to grow old with.”
Amanda astonished her fans by accusing Michael of inappropriate online behaviour.
“Paul told me he stopped taking his meds,” she wrote on Instagram. It was his mother’s house. He smashed her photos and hid salmon under her bed. “I’m terrified of what he’ll do.”
She also claimed Michael was on drugs, which she later retracted. On his now-deleted Instagram account, her fiance rejected all allegations.
Us verified that Amanda evicted Michael and the cops were called. They appeared to mend fences after being caught packing on the PDA that day.
