Dermot Joseph Kennedy is an Irish singer-songwriter who was born on December 13, 1991. He is most known for his song “Outnumbered” in 2019 and his appearance on the Meduza track “Paradise” in 2020. In the United States, he is signed to Interscope Records, and in the rest of the globe, he is signed to Island Records. Without Fear, his first major-label studio album was released on October 4, 2019.

Dermot Kennedy has expressed his gratitude for finding love before achieving stardom with his seven-year-long partner. The 28-year-old musician, the 2015 Dublin Rose, said he is thankful he met his partner before his career took off.
She was based in Clondalkin’s First Physio Plus in 2015, and she also works with a number of sporting teams, including Naas Rugby Club and Stephanie Roche’s previous club Peamount FC.
When Aisling was in the Rose of Tralee, Dermot did make a brief appearance in the audience.
Aisling appeared on stage in a white gown, and show host Dáith Sé remarked that her costume might also be used as a wedding gown.

‘She is a yoga and pilates teacher and a physiotherapist, so she is on the road with us like that,’ Dermot stated in an interview. ‘It’s been six years since we’ve been together.’
Aisling has only featured on his Instagram twice, and her social media accounts are private. He tweeted a photo of them on the streets of New York in 2017, with Dermot leaping to repair his trousers.
In 2018 and 2019, he performed before sold-out audiences around the United States, Australia, and Europe. In 2017, he attended the Bonnaroo Music Festival; in 2018, he attended Lollapalooza, South by Southwest Festival, and Austin City Limits Music Festival. In 2019, he performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on both weekends.
In 2018, fans selected him as NPR Slingshot’s Best New Artist of the Year, he performed a 14-minute live acoustic session on NPR’s Music Tiny Desk Concert and a 20-minute live session on WGBH’s Fraser performance studio. He was named to the BBC’s Longlist for the Sound of 2019.
Kennedy’s debut full-length album, Without Fear, was released in late 2019 after a series of singles and EPs. Many of his previous works are included on the CD, with some dating back eight years prior to its release.
Kennedy was nominated for the BRIT Awards‘ international male solo artist of the year in January 2020. Kennedy also contributed a cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” to the charity tribute album The Metallica Blacklist in 2021.
Kennedy won the RTÉ National Music Prize Irish Song of the Year 2021 for his song “Better Days” on March 3, 2022.
