Chicago P.D. Season 10 - Everything We Need to Know So Far

While many series suffer in quality over time, many viewers appear to be invested in NBC’s long-running cop drama “Chicago P.D.” as it enters its ninth season. One of Season 9’s biggest strengths, according to a number of admirers, is that it is more suspense-filled than previous seasons. Similarly, Patrick John Flueger, who played Adam Ruzek on “Chicago P.D.,” garnered a lot of appreciation from the “Chicago P.D.” fandom for how he exhibited his acting abilities in this current set of episodes during Season 9.

During an Episode 14 narrative, Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) must investigate a pair of gory murder scenes in order to hunt down a serial killer, Season 9 pushed the envelope in a whole different way. The level of violence seen in these scenes is out of character for the show and maybe too much for some viewers.

As the ninth season of “Chicago P.D.” draws to a close, many fans will be wondering if there will be any more episodes. Here’s everything we know about Season 10 of “Chicago P.D.” thus far.

Chicago P.D. has been renewed for a tenth season, according to NBC.

While NBC has yet to reveal any specifics on a tenth season of “Chicago P.D.,” the show’s return is very certain, barring any unexpected developments. This is because NBC announced in February of 2020 that it had reached an agreement with Dick Wolf. The network chose to sign a five-year deal with Wolf, covering future episodes of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” as well as the three major “One Chicago” shows: “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” and “Chicago P.D.” At the time of the announcement, each “One Chicago” show was renewed for three seasons.

Furthermore, assuming Season 10 ends in 2023, Wolf’s deal with NBC should be extended for another two years. If “Chicago P.D.” continues to do well, more seasons are likely to follow. For the time being, viewers will have to wait until the end of Season 9 to learn more about Season 10 of “Chicago P.D.”
