As viewers of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina have seen, mixing witch life with human adolescent life is dark and nasty, and Sabrina Spellman’s existence quickly becomes odd. Such a life entails immense responsibility and, as Ambrose Spellman will tell his cousin Sabrina, frequently making a decision that has huge ramifications and is often a life-altering act.

The half-mortal, half-witch does her hardest to navigate these dark and witchy waters, and she’s done a fantastic job with what she’s been dealt. Since Sabrina’s dark baptism at the beginning of season 1, this coming-of-age drama has gone a long way. She is, after all, the Queen of Hell, and — SPOILER ALERT – Season 3 concludes with two Sabrinas.

One lives in Hell as the queen, while the other lives on Earth with her closest friends, two aunts, and cousin Ambrose. That is until something goes horribly wrong with Sabrina’s temporal paradox — which it will since this show is saturated with Sabrina-induced catastrophe.

With a clouded sky, an unsettling atmosphere, and pure enchantment and adventure, the young witch and her magical world are here to brighten our lives in times of sorrow and sadness. Fortunately for fans, Netflix renewed the series for a fourth season a long time ago — which is technically the second half of the second season, since Part 1 and Part 2 make up “season 1” and Part 3 and Part 4 make up “season 2.” A new season of Sabrina, whatever you want to name it, is on the way. Here’s everything we know so far about the fourth season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

What is the release date for the fourth season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

Season 4 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has already been granted the green light, despite the lack of a release date. In 2018, two further seasons of CAOS were ordered. The first was an eight-episode third season. Part 4 will be made up of eight gloomy coming-of-age episodes, similar to Part 3, and will be released in instalments.

Though the release date for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 is unknown as of this writing, we may make an informed prediction based on the trend of release for the past three seasons. Part 1 of the show was published on Netflix on October 26, 2018, with a Christmas special following on December 14 of the same year. Part 2 premiered on April 5, 2019, followed by Part 3 on January 24, 2020. If the past is any indicator, Part 4 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will premiere on Netflix before the end of 2020. However, another October release would be excellent, and a great way to spend the spookiest month of the year.

Who is in the fourth season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s cast?

We won’t know the whole cast of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 until Netflix makes the announcement (and then when the new episodes drop since there could be surprise additions).

However, based on the conclusion of Part 3, we have a clear sense of who will return for the upcoming season. Kiernan Shipka will reprise her role as Sabrina, with Miranda Otto and Lucy Davis as Sabrina’s witchy aunts Zelda and Hilda, and Chance Perdomo as her warlock cousin Ambrose. Harvey Kinkle, Rosalind Walker, and Theo Putnam, played by Ross Lynch, Jaz Sinclair, and Lachlan Watson, will undoubtedly return as Sabrina’s mortal companions.

Gavin Leatherwood as Nick Scratch, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell (a.k.a. Lilith, a.k.a. Madam Satan), Tati Gabrielle as Prudence Blackwood, Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood, Luke Cook as the Dark Lord (a.k.a. Lucifer Morningstar), and Adeline Rudolph as Agatha are all set to return for more Chilling Adventures. Only time will tell if Part 3 newcomers Jonathan Whitesell (who portrayed Robin), Skye P. Marshall (Mambo Marie), and Sam Corlett (Caliban) will return to Greendale. Despite the fact that they have almost no lines, Judas and Judith Blackwood (Darius Willis and Whitney Peak) should be anticipated to return.

What happens in season 4 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

The narrative of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 4 has yet to be disclosed, but if the ending of Part 3 is any indication, Part 4 will have two Sabrinas. Thankfully, during an interview with TheWrap, show creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed some huge hints.

“We’re continuing filming,” Aguirre-Sacasa added. “We’re down to our last few episodes of Part 4, which has been really, really great.” “Each part has its own personality, and Part 4 differs from Part 3 in that it is still set in Hell. However, each episode of Part 4 is like a tiny horror film in and of itself, which is thrilling.”

That seems like a setting for the two Sabrinas, and Aguirre-Sacasa virtually confirmed it: “Without ruining anything, there’s a high chance’ we’ll be following both Sabrinas concurrently moving forward.”

Due to the power battle between Lucifer and Lilith, he even compared Part 4 to a demonic version of The Crown. Sabrina is “stuck in the centre” of the conflict, and she’s expecting a baby brother (fathered by Satan himself). Season 4 will also have an H.P. Lovecraft flavour, according to Aguirre-Sacasa, who is one of his favourite authors. “We’re releasing very ancient primal thoughts of dread and fear on Sabrina, the Spellmans, and Greendale. And Greendale becomes a battleground for these truly epic struggles between evil and good, terror and sanity, and it’s massive, big, big, large “he said.

Father Blackwood’s unleashing of Eldritch Terrors at the conclusion of season 3 will also play a key part in season 4, according to Aguirre-Sacasa. Furthermore, each chapter of Season 4 will have a Big Bad who reflects this fundamental horror and anxiety, and at the end of the season, it will be obvious whether Sabrina’s “endgame” will be with Harvey or Nick.

Season 4 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina theories

Despite the fact that fans know Sabrina finishes season 3 by creating a temporal paradox that will almost certainly backfire on her — not to mention the fact that Aguirre-Sacasa has talked extensively about season 4 — there’s still plenty of opportunity for speculation. The most popular assumption regarding Season 4 is that it will finally deliver the long-awaited Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale crossover.

Season 4 concluded production in late February 2020, and while the cast was honouring their time on set with Instagram postings, the official Chilling Adventures Instagram page published a snapshot of Kiernan Shipka and Riverdale’s own KJ Apa (Archie Andrews) and Casey Cott (Kevin Keller). “Riverdale is a large, dangerous place,” the caption reads.

We’re not saying it means the Riverdale actors will appear in a crossover episode, but it’s a pretty huge hint, and it at least officially acknowledges the idea. The programme has made several allusions to Riverdale, like Sabrina and Ambrose travelling to Riverdale, so it’s only a matter of time before the makers deliver fans the ultimate crossover episode.
