Tommicus Walker, LeToya Luckett’s husband, has announced their separation.

The 39-year-old former Destiny’s Child singer and 40-year-old Texas entrepreneur announced their divorce on Monday, just four months after welcoming their first child, Tysun Wolf.

Tysun, 4 months old, and Gianna Iman, 2 years old, are the two children that Tommicus and I have decided to divorce after “very deep deliberation,” she said alongside a photo of the two of them. Our children deserve a calm home, and I want us to be loving co-parents who respect each other’s boundaries.

Finally, she wrote, “Love always,” and closed the message with the words, “Please respect our privacy.” Thank you in advance for this difficult time and for your prayers, support, and space to heal.

Walker sent a statement that was similar, calling their choice “extremely difficult.”

As co-parents, “we remain dedicated to our family and ask that you kindly respect our privacy and the protection of our children at this time,” he wrote. We joyfully continue to be devoted friends who have a great deal of love and respect for one another.
