You may believe you already know what “Endgame” is. It’s one of the highest-grossing films of all time, and it spawned a slew of memes. But you must forget about all of that. This is unique. It’s now time to learn more about “The Endgame,” a heist thriller that NBC has recently ordered to series.

The series is a cat-and-mouse drama written by Nick Wootton and Jake Coburn, with executive producer Julie Plec (“The Vampire Diaries”), about a criminal mastermind who orchestrates bank heists despite being imprisoned, and the FBI agent who tries to stop her.

NBC had a different thriller series with the same title in the works seven years ago, but it never made it to series, thus the title became available again. It was ordered to pilot in April and is one of two NBC pilot orders for 2021, the other being “Getaway,” which is still pending a decision. “La Brea” and “Ordinary Joe,” NBC’s other new drama projects, have been approved for 2020.

Here’s all we know so far about “The Endgame,” including its possible release date, cast, and plot.

NBC The Endgame TV Series Storyline

Elena Federova (Baccarin), a “very recently captured” international arms dealer and criminal mastermind who can orchestrate many complex and coordinated bank heists even while in captivity, and Val Turner (Bathé), the “principled, relentless, and socially-outcast” FBI agent who will stop at nothing to foil Elena’s plan, are the stars of the show.

Kamal Angelo Bolden as Owen Turner, Costa Ronin as Sergey Vodianov, and Noah Bean as Adic co-star alongside Baccarin and Bathé. Jonathan Doak, Jordan Johnson-Hinds, and Mark D. Espinoza star as FBI Director Rogelio Réal and FBI Agent Anthony Flowers, respectively. Character details for their parts have yet to be confirmed by NBC.

Seven years ago, NBC had a thriller with the same name in the works, but this is a brand-new tale from a different crew. Under the title “Untitled Nick Wootton/Jake Coburn Project,” this show was first ordered to pilot in April of this year. Although NBC had previously ordered dramas “Ordinary Joe” and “La Brea” to series, and comedies “Grand Crew” and “American Auto” to series, it was one of two of the first fresh pilot orders issued by the broadcast network for the new television season.

Morena Baccarin may be best known for her work in “Deadpool” and “Deadpool 2,” although she has an extensive television résumé, as well, including “The Good Wife,” “Homeland,” “Gotham” and, most recently, voicing Gideon on The CW’s “The Flash.” UTA, Artist & Brand Management, and Seven Summits Pictures & Management represent her.

Morena Baccarin shared a glimpse of the upcoming TV series The Endgame. Meet Elena Fedorova. NBC’s #TheEndgame premieres on February 21, 2022. The dates are confirmed!!!
