When you combine dogs, lacrosse, and technology, what do you get? Big Nick Power. Nick Uhlenhuth enters season 3 of The Circle with his own brand of charm and chutzpah, swiftly establishing himself as a key competitor on Netflix’s social media platform. Here’s all we know about The Circle competitor and be warned: you could just have discovered your new favorite reality celebrity.
What is Nick’s name?
Nick is a 27-year-old Seattle, Washington native who now resides in Austin, Texas. He’s also plainly bright, with a computer science degree from M.I.T. He works in space, has a twin brother, is an amateur musician (singing! guitar! drums), has a dog obsession, and played college lacrosse.
On The Circle, how does Nick fare?
Nick approaches social media in a similar manner to himself, with one notable exception: Circle. Nick pretends to be stupid in the hopes that his kind but naïve manner will help him be considered an underdog, allowing him to remain undetected until the finale.
In his episode 1 opening, he states, “I’m going to deemphasize everything that connects to brains, being smart, or computers— that would make them regard me as a threat.” Nick instead presents himself as a “totally harmless innocent drummer” looking for a nice night and some laughs. Not to mention, Nick has no qualms about flirting his way to influencer status (or just for his real romantic prospects). Nick swiftly joins the Circle’s other brothers, but it’s not long before he’s dubbed the game’s genuine mastermind. You’ll have to wait until September 15 to see how things turn out for him in the next set of episodes.
What is the best way to follow Nick on Instagram?
Follow Nick on Instagram at @nickuhlenhuth, where he posts plenty of shirtless photos, videos of him singing and playing his guitar and drums, and lovely photos of his dogs—all of which are, of course, hashtagged with #BigNickEnergy.
