Stargirl’s third season will start on The CW in 2022, but don’t expect it to air soon.
One of the most popular TV shows in recent years was based on DC Comics’ Stargirl. DC Universe made the show, and at first, new episodes came out on the streaming site every Monday. The next night, the same episodes were also shown on The CW (in the coveted Tuesday night timeslot usually held by The Flash). After the channel changed its name and started showing only comics, Stargirl’s second season was moved to The CW.
The second season of Stargirl started airing on TV last summer, almost exactly a year after the first season ended. It did a good job of bringing back what people liked about the first season, and it did well in the ratings as well.
So, what’s next for Courtney Whitmore and the Justice Society of America now that they’ve beaten the Injustice Society of America and Eclipso? Obviously, season three!
The show was picked up for a third season before the second season even began. Now, the only question is when they will show it again. We should only not expect it to air this spring. The network’s midseason schedule is out, and Stargirl is not one of the shows that will be coming back. When is it going to be back?

Stargirl Season 3 Cast
At this point, not much is known about season 3, but most of the cast is likely to come back. Even though Courtney is the most important character on Stargirl, the show is very much about the whole cast, so you can expect everyone else to come back.
Also, we know that two former ISA bad guys will be part of the series full-time.

It’s not clear if Nick Tarabay or Jonathan Cake will play Eclipso or The Shade again.
Stargirl Season 3 Release Date
In 2022, Stargirl will return with its third season. The end of season 2 showed that Stargirl: Frenemies, the third season, would come out this year.
Even though there isn’t a set date for the show’s premiere, filming began in October 2021. Since Stargirl: Summer School, the second season, was made around the same time of year and came out in August, it is likely that season 3 will come out in the summer.

Stargirl has been a good summer show for The CW since it started. It gives comic book fans another superhero show to watch when the regular Arrowverse shows aren’t on during the summer.
