The Bear was an international phenomenon after its initial US premiere, and the episodes were met with an equally enthusiastic response in the UK as they were accessible on Disney Plus.
Jeremy Allen White plays Carmen Berzatto, a former fine dining chef who returns to Chicago to handle the family’s Italian beef sandwich store after his brother’s death.
The intense and nerve-wracking show is also filled with emotion and has been touted as a potential Emmy winner for the coming year. Is The Original Beef of Chicagoland coming back for a second season, or has it closed its doors for good?

The Bear Season 2 Release Date
Chef, yes! When it was first released in the United States, The Bear was a huge hit. So much so that FX picked it up for a second season just a month after the first season came out.
Eric Schrier, the president of FX Entertainment, said in a statement (via Variety): “The Bear has blown away all of our creative, critical, and business expectations.
“We’re so excited to get started on Season 2.”
Co-showrunners Christopher Storer and Joanna Calo said in a joint statement, “We are so grateful to FX, our incredibly talented cast, our crew who worked hard, fast, and in the dead of winter, and to everyone who watched.” We can’t wait to bring you all back to The Bear in 2023.”
Well, there you have it. We know it will happen in 2023, but we don’t know when.
We haven’t heard any more news, but we think they’ll try to release it around the same time as this year, which was the end of June.
When we learn more, we’ll let you know.

The Bear Season 2 Plot
The people who make the show haven’t said much about the next season, but the focus will be on making the business more profitable.
Christopher Storer, the showrunner, told Esquire that even though the restaurant will change, it won’t lose all of its charm. “This will be dealt with in season two. It’s more along the lines of, “How can we do this and maybe make some money?” And maybe make it easier? And maybe, just maybe, start from somewhere that isn’t f***ed up?

“Instead of beating a dead horse and making this fking food that no one even wants to make, I see hope in my kind of found family in the kitchen.” Can we use that to build something new now that we’ve all found each other in this stupid-ass system where things don’t make sense and people put veal stock on the top fkin’ shelf of the walk-in?”
We’ll probably find out soon enough!
