THE ROOKIE SEASON 4 EPISODE 17 RELEASE DATE AND PLOT

After a brief hiatus, The Rookie season 4 episode 17 premiered on ABC on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022.

The episode, titled Coding, finds John Nolan and his team dealing with a horrific car accident that ends in the death of a woman who is discovered to be an organ donor.

The intention is to give the woman’s heart to a young teenager, but things get complicated when a man hacks into the hospital’s system to guarantee that his wife is placed first on the waiting list for the heart.

In the face of an untenable circumstance, Nolan and his staff must try to reason with the devastated man, as the health of every patient in the hospital is jeopardized.

Raphael Sbarge as Jonah Russell

Raphael Sbarge, who plays Jonah Russell, the man attempting to keep the hospital hostage, is the most notable newcomer in episode 17.

Raphael was born in New York and has been active in the arts since he was a child, due to his parents, and made his acting debut in 1983.

Since then, the 58-year-old actor has acted in around 180 films and television shows, including Once Upon a Time, Murder in the First, Dexter, Prison Break, and Risky Business from 1983.

Amanda Wyss as Meredith Russell

In episode 17, Jonah is joined by his wife, Meredith, who is played by Amanda Wyss, another acting veteran.

Amanda, like Raphael, has been acting since the early 1980s, with appearances in The Id, Badland, Highlander, Murder in the First, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation among her many credits.

Geoffrey Owens as Graham Scott

Geoffrey Owens, who plays Graham Scott in episode 17, is another notable guest in this episode.

With significant parts in The Cosby, Power Book II: Ghost, The Good Fight, The Haves and the Have Nots, and ABC’s Bless This Mess, the Brooklyn-born actor has around 60 credits to his name.

Colin Ford as Austin Geoffrey

Colin Ford played Austin Geoffrey in episode 17, but fans are likely to recognize him from one of his over 60 prior acting roles.
