The Vow is an American true crime documentary series directed by Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer about the cult NXIVM and its leader Keith Raniere. On August 23, 2020, HBO will show the NXIVM documentary series.

In October 2020, the series was renewed for a second season.

Season 2 of The Vow is officially on the way. According to HBO, the second instalment of their documentary series on NXIVM’s secret sex cult, the infamous multi-level marketing corporation, and “self-improvement” brand will uncover even more alarming details. But when can fans expect season 2 of The Vow to air? And where does the first-season finale’s cliffhanger fit in? We’ll get into all of that later, but first, here’s a rundown of what’s happened so far in the series.

When The Vow premiered on August 23, viewers were unclear what to expect—after all, this isn’t the first time NXIVM has sparked public interest. Three of the organization’s senior executives were jailed on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges in 2018, virtually bankrupting the Albany-based firm, which offers personal and professional development programmes and retreats. Among them were Smallville actress Allison Mack and her associate Keith Raniere, the group’s co-founder.

The convicted felon and pyramid schemer is presently in federal prison in Brooklyn, New York, serving his term. Season 2 of The Vow will tell how he got there in the end.
