Tin Star return for a third and final season on Sky Atlantic, with Tim Roth, Genevieve O’Reilly, and Abigail Lawrie reprising their roles as the Worth family.
This season’s title, Liverpool, means we’ll be following the Worths back to where it all began 20 years ago.
According to the season synopsis, the family is “on the attack,” determined to end their previous wars and fight their current adversaries for freedom.

Tin Star Season 3 Release Date
Season 3 of Tin Star premiered on December 10 at 9 p.m. GMT (4 p.m. EST / 1 p.m. PST). Tin Star: Liverpool saw the Worths leave Canada and travel to England to confront their past. Tin Star 3 Plot
Tim Roth, Genevieve O’Reilly, and Abigail Lawrie return as the Worth family in Tin Star: Liverpool. A terrible past awaits the Worths in Liverpool, UK.
Jack (Roth) and Angela (O’Reilly) had to tell their daughter Anna a dreadful reality at the end of season two (Lawrie).
Little Big Bear, Jack, Angela, and Anna return to the UK 20 years later to face the terrifying truth they fled from. Dangerous criminals still in the city pose a menace with their secrets.
“This organisation is led by Merseyside’s most accomplished crime leader, Michael Ryan (Ian Hart). Michael is a brave, resourceful, and knowledgeable businessman who has changed the city a lot. Seine roots are in crime, yet he can smell the law through brick walls and across county boundaries. Hence his lack of a major drug conviction.
A deeper truth that if revealed will tear the city apart, Angela and Jack know.
Writer Rowan Joffe predicted “our best season yet.”
Tin Star 3 Cast
There will be no Tim Roth, Genevieve O’Reilly, or Abigail Lawrie.
Richard Roth is a director who has worked on films including The Hateful Eight and Planet of the Apes. His TV credits include Twin Peaks, Rillington Place, and Klondike.
Angela Worth (O’Reilly) was Mon Mothma in Revenge of the Sith, Rogue One, and the Star Wars TV series. She’s been in Tarzan, Tolkien, Spooks, and Episodes.
Lawrie plays Anna Worth. Sofie Lancaster in Murdered for Being Different.
Michael Ryan is played by Ian Hart. His most famous role is Quirrell in the first Harry Potter film.
Jack’s handler when he was working undercover for the Met 20 years ago, Tanya Moodie. He was assigned to Liverpool to investigate Michael Ryan and organised crime.
Catherine is presently the Greater Merseyside Police Chief. “She is vicious, brilliant, and powerful, and she and Jack will be back together soon,” Sky predicts.
Kerrie Hayes’ song “local girl has done well” Catherine looks up to DI Sarah Lunt, “a well-trained officer who would be an asset to any police force.” Sarah is a straight-up officer who is ambitious and wants to impress. Kerrie gets in over her head when she thinks her employer is willing to cross the line to get her way.
Finally, Joanne Whalley plays Mary, Jack’s loyal friend who works with the police and supports the neighbourhood. Forcing Mary to become an informant for an undercover operation he was undertaking, Jack caught Mary 20 years later.
“When Jack reappears in her life, it’s as if no time has passed.” This reminds her of Jack. This time they are on the same side of the law.”
Jennifer Grant, Anamaria Marinca, and Nigel Bennett were on the last season of Tin Star.
