The American biographical war drama film Unbroken, which came out in 2014, was written by the Coen brothers, Richard LaGravenese, and William Nicholson. Angelina Jolie produced, directed, and starred in the film. It is based on Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption, a nonfiction book by Laura Hillenbrand that came out in 2010.
