What Is Axl Rose’s Net Worth?
Axl Rose is a musician and songwriter from the United States with a net worth of $200 million. He is most known for being a founding member of Guns N’ Roses, one of the world’s most popular rock bands.
Axl Rose Early Life
On February 6, 1962, in Lafayette, Indiana, Axl Rose was born William Bruce Rose, Jr. Rose was born to a 16-year-old mother named Sharon and a 20-year-old father named William Sr. When Rose was two years old, his parents divorced, and his father abducted and allegedly raped him before fleeing town.
Rose’s name was legally changed to William Bruce Bailey after his mother married Stephen L. Bailey. Rose believed Bailey was his biological father until he was seventeen years old. (William Rose Sr., his biological father, was assassinated in Marion, Illinois, in 1984.)
Rose grew up in a religious household, where he was forced to attend Pentecostal church services three to eight times a week and teach Sunday school.
Rose discovered music as an emotional expression at a young age. When he was five years old, he began singing in the church choir, and in high school, he joined the school chorus and studied piano. Around this time, he formed a band with his buddies, one of them was Jeff Isbell, afterward known as Izzy Stradlin, from Guns N’ Roses.
Rose began identifying with himself as W. Rose after learning of his biological father’s existence. He began to run afoul of the law at this point, and he served time in prison. Rose has been arrested over 20 times for various offenses such as public intoxication and violence. When officials in Lafayette threatened to arrest him for being a habitual offender, he packed his belongings and moved to Los Angeles.
After settling in Los Angeles, he grew so engrossed in his band, AXL, that friends urged him to adopt the moniker Axl Rose. He legally changed his name to W. Axl Rose in March 1986, just before securing a contract with Geffen Records.
Rose was a member of a variety of bands in the Los Angeles hard rock scene, including Rapidfire, Hollywood Rose, and L.A. Guns. To make money meet, he took odd jobs and even smoked cigarettes for a $8 per hour for scientific research at UCLA (adjusted for inflation, it would be $20 in 2019). Guns N’ Roses was created in March 1985, and within a year, the band had caught the attention of many big record labels. In December 1985, the band released their debut four-song EP.
Axl Rose Personal life
Rose has never been a heavy drug user, despite his public image suggesting differently, yet he did not abstain from using illicit narcotics entirely. Rose was admitted to the hospital in 1986 after deliberately overdosing on medications owing to stress. The lyrics to Guns N’ Roses’ song “Coma” were inspired by this encounter.
In the early 1990s, Rose became a firm believer in homeopathy, a pseudoscientific alternative medicine approach. He would attend past life regression therapy on a regular basis. Rose employed a personal psychic to look at images of potential employees and “read their auras” to evaluate whether or not they should be hired while Chinese Democracy was being recorded.
Rose began dating model Erin Everly, the daughter of Everly Brothers singer Don Everly, in early 1986. Rose co-wrote and appeared in the music video for Everly’s song “Sweet Child o’ Mine” in 1987. The pair married in Las Vegas four years later, in the spring of 1990. Rose filed for divorce less than a month later. For a time, the pair was able to restore their relationship, but Everly eventually left Rose after a fight. In January 1991, they declared their marriage null and void. Everly filed a lawsuit three years later, accusing Rose of physical and emotional abuse. The case was settled without going to court.

Rose began dating supermodel Stephanie Seymour shortly after his divorce from Everly. Seymour appears in the music videos for “Don’t Cry” and “November Rain.” Rose and Seymour got engaged in February 1993, but they split up three weeks later.
Rose was also said to have dated artist Lana Del Rey.
