It’s fairly uncommon for posts from accounts you’ve been following for years to be gobbled up by newcomers.
Instagram Favourites, on the other hand, is a new tool that the site has implemented to counteract the criticisms.
What Is Instagram Favourites?
Instagram Favourites is a new feature that allows users to see material from their favourite accounts only.
According to Instagram’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, “pictures and videos from the favourite accounts will be presented at the top of the main feed” once users enable the feature.

The second news concerns Instagram Following; the site is bringing back chronological order with the new option, though it will not be the default. Your feed will revert to the current personalised version when you exit the app.
Instagram Favourites: How to use and is it private
Favourites and Following may be accessed by tapping the Instagram logo in the top left corner of the home page and selecting the desired choice.
You have the option to add up to 50 accounts to the list, which you can change at any moment.

Don’t worry, Instagram Favourites is private, which means that, unlike Close Friends, people will not be notified if they are added or removed.
You can’t satisfy everyone, though, and admirers of the old chronological order are still clamouring for it to be reinstated. But, hey, having the option is better than having none at all, right?
