Adam Carolla And Lynette Finalized Their Divorced After 19 Years of Marriage - TheAltWeb

Adam Carolla And Lynette Finalized Their Divorced After 19 Years of Marriage

After almost 19 years of marriage, radio host Adam Carolla and his wife Lynette are splitting up.

Carolla, who is 56 years old, told his podcast listeners about the news at the beginning of The Adam Carolla Show on Friday.

He said, “We’re going to start the show with some bad news: Lynette and I are getting a divorce.” “It’s not something I wanted to get or do. Both Lynette and I are the result of a divorce. No one ever wants to end their marriage.”

Carolla and Lynette were together for about six years before they got married in September 2002. Later, they had twins, Natalia and Santino “Sonny” Carolla, who will be 15 years old next month.

Carolla said on his podcast, “We haven’t seen each other in a few months, and it’s hard.” “The kids have always come first.”

“They’re doing well—some might even say too well,” he made a joke. “I wanted some destruction, but I didn’t get much,” he said.

The comedian went on to say that he and Lynette are “very different,” which is one reason why they broke up.

He said, “It’s been a hard time.” “We’ve been together for 25 years. We’re very different people, and we definitely have different ideas about life. It wasn’t an event, and no one was cheating. It wasn’t chronic gambling or COVID, either. It was just that the two people were so different and had such different ways of thinking and living that they couldn’t find a middle ground.”

He kept going, “It’s hard, and it’s strange. Everyone gets a divorce, or at least a lot of people do. but it was never meant to be. I guess I wasn’t given that choice. My thing was like, whatever isn’t working, we’ll make it work. But in the end, if you can’t make something work, it’s probably for the best, so I’m not too upset about it.”

Carolla said that his relationship with Lynette is “okay” and that he and Lynette have made a “nesting” plan for their kids. This means that the kids stay in their home while the two parents take turns living there.

“Right now, we’re nesting, so you stay at home and the kids don’t go anywhere,” he said. “It’s much better. When my parents got a divorce, my dad just moved out and slept on the couch at my grandparents’ house.”

Carolla, who co-hosted The Man Show with Jimmy Kimmel in the early 2000s, said that he was “embarrassed” at first to tell the public about his divorce.

“Shame or embarrassment is what I feel the most,” he said. “Divorce makes me feel like I’ve failed,” she said.

“In the end, it’s better, my life is better, and I’m fine with it,” Carolla said before moving on with his show. “It’s not a very logical thought. It’s more like, I don’t want this thing to happen, but I’ll be better off if it does. I’m kind of a philosopher.”
