John Richard Nunge is a basketball player who currently plays for Xavier Musketeers in the Big East. He had previously played for Iowa Devils but redshirted his next season to improve his skills. Unfortunately, his sophomore year was cut short due to an injury to his right anterior cruciate ligament, and later on, he tore his right meniscus, ending his season. In his junior year, Nunge joined Xavier, and on December 11, 2021, he had an outstanding performance against Cincinnati, scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds, earning him Honorable Mention All-Big East.

Gabrielle Nunge was born on March 4, 1999, in Edina, Minnesota, and was raised by her parents, Gretchen and Lorenzo Orr, along with her sister, Kennedi Orr. During her time at Eagan High School, Gabrielle played volleyball for four years and led her team to win the conference play during her senior year. She received several accolades, including being selected as the team MVP, an AAU All-American, and a member of the all-state MSHSL State All-Tournament team. Gabrielle was also recognized as the USJO All-American MVP for the 15 Open.
Gabrielle started her college volleyball career early by leaving high school a semester early and joining the University of Iowa, team. She was appointed captain in her junior and senior years and played in all 33 matches as the setter in 2017. Gabrielle led Iowa with 1,242 assists and was the second player on the team with 298 digs in 2018. During this time, she recorded a career-high 51 assists, 4 solo blocks, and 7 total blocks in a victory over Northwestern. As a junior in 2019, Gabrielle played in 21 matches and finished the season ranked fifth in program history with 3,226 assists, making her the seventh Hawkeye to surpass 3,000 career assists.

Apart from her successful athletic career, Gabrielle graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in communication studies, a minor in rhetoric and persuasion, and a certificate in event management. She has also been involved in various community service projects, including the “Bringing Joy to the Children” toy drive, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and the food bank for Westchester Inc.
