The singer told ‘Today’ that she doesn’t date and that she isn’t ready to date anybody else yet.
Celine Dion, well known for her Titanic song “My Heart Will Go On,” has spent the majority of her time in Las Vegas preparing for her act, which she has been doing alone. Rene Angelil, Dion’s spouse and manager, died of throat cancer four years ago, and fans have been wondering if the 52-year-old singer will date again since then.
These concerns arose since Dion was 26 years younger than her spouse, having met when she was 12 and he was 38 years old. Despite reports that Dion has moved on to someone else, the singer told Today that she does not date and that it is not the right time for her to do so.
“I’m not interested in dating.” Dion declared, “I’m not ready to date.” “I’m extremely fortunate and grateful to have such a large number of people in my life who make me laugh.”
However, because she is still regarded as young at 52, and in a prime position to date now that her children have grown older, doubts continue to arise.
Renewed Marriage
Celine Dion’s marriage to Rene Angelil sparked a lot of debate, with some people finding it weird that the man she would eventually name her husband had known her since she was 12 years old and was approaching 40 years old. Only friends and family knew about their relationship until she was 20 years old, and it was kept private for over five years.
Dion claimed in her 2000 autobiography, ‘My Story, My Dream,’ that she kept a photo of Rene beneath her pillow and hid it from her mother, expecting her to find it. She had written:
“I couldn’t disguise the fact that I was in love with Rene any longer; I was showing all the signs,” Dion explained. “I was head over heels in love with a man I couldn’t love, who didn’t want me to love him, who didn’t want to love me.”

Dion’s mother was concerned that anything was wrong because Rene had been Dion’s manager for the majority of her childhood. Dion, on the other hand, was free and legal to make her own decisions by the time she was 19 years old. Angelil proposed to her on her 25th birthday, and the two were engaged by the time she was 25. They married in Montreal on December 17, 1994, and remained together till he passed away at the age of 73.
“He called me before a show and said, ‘I love you,'” she explained. “And it was quite late when I got home that night… And I didn’t want to come in and wake him up just to kiss him, because then he wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep. He was gone the following morning.”
She wishes she had someone to share her life with
She hasn’t dated anyone since her husband died, but she told USA Today that she misses having someone in her life and is open to the thought of loving again.
“I’m not interested in dating.” I’m single, and I’m not dating anyone “she said herself. “That isn’t to say I won’t meet someone special in my life. That’d be fantastic if I could. If I don’t, it’s fine; I’m still in love.”
Dion went on to claim that Rene is still with her and that she isn’t ready to date anyone else just yet, especially because she sees her spouse through her children every day.
“I’m not seeking for it if it happens,” she explained. “I believe it is something that occurs and your experience. I’d tell you right now if I had someone in my life since I’ve always been an open book. But if I do, I’ll return and discuss it with you.”

Dion is simply enjoying life to the fullest
Dion is currently enjoying her life on her own terms, which means she is not dating, despite reports to the contrary. Her backup dancer, Pepe Munoz, was rumored to be dating her last year. Except when Dion revealed that Munoz was gay, she seemed to put an end to the myth. However, because they aren’t the typical pair, many people are wondering if she is seeing him despite his homosexuality. However, Dion appears to be simply living her best life.
“Pepe is [Dion’s] toyboy who is attempting to take over the world. “He’s isolating her, and people are noticing,” a close friend of the singer stated.
Dion, on the other hand, was quick to dismiss the allegations, claiming that Pepe was not her boyfriend and that the two were not dating.
“Oh my God, Rene just passed, and now there’s another man,” she added. “There’s another man in my life,” Dion admitted, “but he’s not THE man in my life.” “We were friends immediately away and had a great time.” It progressed… But it was like, ‘Who’s that guy?’ as people started taking pictures. Rene?’ “Let’s not get things mixed up.”
For the time being, the two are just great friends.
