Reboots may be dangerous, but “Charmed” on The CW has proven that lightning can strike twice in the same location under the proper circumstances. Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Prue (Shannen Doherty) were replaced with Mel (Melonie Diaz), Macy (Madeleine Mantock), and Maggie (Madeleine Mantock) in the 2018 revival of the classic supernatural drama (Sarah Jeffery). Despite the fact that the original “Charmed” cast has bashed the remake, their core power set remains the same, and there are more than enough recognisable, effective components of the original show to make it a must-watch for new and old fans alike.
The original “Charmed” lasted eight seasons, so the current one still has a ways to go, but it’ll be halfway there by Season 4. When, on the other hand, will the season start? What is it going to be about, and who can you expect to see? Here’s all we know about Season 4 of “Charmed,” including the release date, cast, and narrative.
Charmed Season 4 Promo
When will Charmed Season 4 be available?
It can be difficult to anticipate when — or even if — a new season will premiere unless a programme has officially been renewed for another season. The CW, thankfully, hasn’t been twiddling its thumbs over Season 4 of “Charmed.” Season 3 premiered on January 24, 2021, and “Charmed” was renewed for a fourth season in February, along with 11 other series that the network obviously values (via Deadline).
As a result, we can anticipate the arrival of the new season. When it airs, though, is another story. On October 14, 2018, the first episode of Season 1 was released, and on October 11, 2019, the first episode of Season 2 premiered. With the third season’s premiere in January 2021, things get a little strange, although the producers did experience some challenges due to the COVID-19 epidemic, as Deadline points out.
With this information, the show’s production cycle may be estimated to be around a calendar year in typical conditions. Given the early Season 4 pickup, you can anticipate the programme to start its year-long production cycle in January 2022.
Who will appear in Season 4 of Charmed?
Early in the Season 4 production process, shocking casting news hit “Charmed.” The “Charmed” remake is losing one of its main witches ahead of its fourth season, just like its original series. Madeleine Mantock, who portrays Macy, has announced that she will not be reprising her role. Melonie Diaz’s Mel and Sarah Jeffery’s Maggie are both still alive and well, and it’s probably safe to assume that they’ll be back in the upcoming season, but who knows? In the same way, Harry Greenwood, Rupert Evans’ Whitelighter, is almost expected to return.
The announcement that “Charmed” has identified a successor for Mantock was announced on September 8. Lucy Barrett, an Australian actress, will be joining the coven, much like Rose McGowan did before her (via TVLine). Season 4 also features a new writing trio as showrunners, who have all given us this cryptic quote about Barrett’s mysterious character: “What we’ll say is that she’s an artist with a wild, unpredictable love for life and a one-of-a-kind perspective on the world that serves her well in her life’s passion, art. She’s witty, irreverent, impetuous, and determined, and she’ll infuse the Power of Three with fresh vigour.”
The rest of the cast is still unknown. A totally new, as-yet-unnamed evil guy, as well as several new characters, are very certainly in the works. The first three seasons of the programme have already featured a diverse cast of characters, all of whom — at least the ones who have survived — might return if the storyline calls for it. We play the waiting game until we get definite casting news or confirmations of returning characters, or until the first trailer arrives.
What happens in Season 4 of Charmed?
Because the fourth season is still a long way off, the only way to get a sense of where the third season’s ending leaves things is to look at where the third season’s ending leaves things, which can’t be addressed until the season actually finishes. The Charmed Ones face the Whispering Evil in the show’s last episode, a shapeless evil that exploited their companion Jordan (Jordan Donica) to escape the Tomb of Chaos prison realm.
