Before we get to the good news, we’re going to pull off the bandage for you: Peaky Blinders’ sixth season will be the final season. The award-winning series was confirmed to be ending in January 2021, and it’s been a difficult pill to chew.

Fans were taken aback by the announcement, which came after the show’s creator Stephen Knight told PA Media Group in 2019 that he would start writing season seven immediately after finishing the sixth. “After that, I’m thinking about spinoffs, possibly a movie,” he continued.

Is there gonna be a Peaky Blinders Movie?

On Jan. 18, Knight revealed to Deadline about the future of the historical gangster drama that, while the series will conclude with season six, the Shelby family’s story will not. “We believe this will be the best series of all time, and we are confident that our devoted fans will enjoy it,” Knight said. “While the TV show will be ending, the story will continue in a different way.”

Now we know what that other form will be, and it’s the movie we’ve been talking about. “COVID changed our plans,” Knight told Deadline on Jan. 17, a day after the series was announced to be ending. “But I can say that it was always my intention to end Peaky with a film. That is exactly what will happen.” According to Deadline, nothing about the film has been finalised, but it looks promising.

Peaky Blinders: Season 5 was the most-watched season of the BBC One series to date, attracting millions of people to the BBC One channel with each episode. That, in our opinion, should make it a no-brainer for the BBC to approve the film. It’s astonishing, given that the show has provided us with eight years of tremendous amusement, and it appears that there is yet another cause to detest COVID-19’s existence.

If you want to watch or replay every episode of Peaky Blinders, you can do so on BBC iPlayer in the UK or Netflix in the rest of the world. Season 6 of Peaky Blinders will premiere on February 27, 2022, on BBC.

‘Peaky Blinders’ Season 7 has been cancelled?

One of the finest shows of all time is ‘Peaky Blinders.’ Since its premiere, the BBC show has been a fan favourite for its stylish tone, adrenaline pouring through every frame, and incredibly awesome characters. The show has a terrific five-season run that will come to an end with the season six finale.

The news that the show would terminate after the sixth season came as a shock to the show’s viewers. Knight has previously stated that the show will run at least to the seventh season before coming to an end.
