Shanina Shaik is expecting a child!
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the Australian model, 31, revealed that she and her partner Matthew Adesuyan are expecting their first child together.
Shaik addressed the post to her unborn kid, whom she referred to as “the new love of my life,” by posting a series of photos of herself holding her developing baby bulge.
“Thank you for appointing me as your mother. I’ve wanted you for as long as I can remember, and my patience has been challenged at times “she went on. “The timing had to be just right, and I can confidently state that I am prepared to be your guide, guardian, and best friend.”
“As each month passes during this priceless adventure of pregnancy, I am learning what it is to be a mother,” Shaik continued. “I’m quite concerned about your well-being and progress. It’s a sensation I’ve never had before, even when it comes to myself. I’d go to any length for you, be anything for you, and make any sacrifice for you.”
“She has set the bar high and I don’t want to disappoint you,” the model said of her own mother, who she described as “an incredible woman who taught me so much about Motherhood.”
“I want to raise you to be as kind, kind, and attentive as Mom was to me; to be the best version of yourself. I want to encourage you to dream big and work hard, to live your life passionately and to achieve your objectives, whatever they may be “Shaik was the one who penned. “I want you to know that you can count on me to be there for you no matter what life throws at you.”
“Your child will be nurtured and cherished through every moment of your existence, just as I have been,” the expecting mother wrote.
“Mummy and Daddy are very excited to meet you,” she said at the end of her lengthy message.
Shaik spoke with PEOPLE about the wonderful moment and what it means to her to become a mother just before sharing her pregnancy news with the world on social media.
Shaik revealed that her pregnancy has been “a really happy, healthy, and fantastic experience,” despite the fact that she has experienced “a lot of change in my body and my surroundings.”
“I’ve been so fortunate, and I’m just thrilled to finally be able to share the news,” she concluded. “It’s quite exciting for both myself and my partner, as well as our families.”

Shaik also revealed that she is having a “Fall baby” and is in her “second trimester,” which she describes as “becoming tougher to hide [my baby bump].”
Shaik told PEOPLE that she and Adesuyan are aware of the gender of their unborn child but are keeping it a secret for the time being.
Because she enjoys “planning and organizing things,” the model claims she discovered whether their unborn child will be a boy or a girl. “I just wanted to find out the sex and prepare for the nursery and buy as many wonderful goods as I could online… and get everything sorted for the kid,” she explained.
“He’s over the moon and he’s really supportive,” Shaik added, adding that her partner is “so pleased” that he is going to be a father.
“He’s just as delighted as I am to share this experience with him,” she continued. “We’re deeply in love, and bringing a beautiful life into this world is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Shaik claimed she has “been trying to collect advise from all sides, especially from my pals who have had infants previously” in anticipation of the arrival of her baby later this year.
The star will conduct an hour-long Amazon Live session on Monday at 1 p.m. EST to offer some of that advice, as well as other tips and tricks she has learned thus far in her prenatal experience.
“I adore sharing something with my audience in real-time,” Shaik said of the planned webcast to PEOPLE. “I believe that’s extremely unique, and it’s also an authentic and welcoming environment.”
Shaik also intends to show off some of her favorite Amazon purchases, such as Belly Buds, that she made during her pregnancy.
“Because my boyfriend works in the music industry, the development of hearing music, as well as bonding,” she added of the headphones that pregnant women can wear on their tummies.
