Michael Joh Myers was born on May 25, 1963, in Scarborough, Ontario. His father, Eric Myers, was an insurance agent, and his mother, Alice “Bunny” E. He joined The Second City Canadian touring company after graduating from high school. He then relocated to the United Kingdom, where he co-founded the improv group The Comedy Store Players. Mike appeared on the British children’s show Wide Awake Club with comic Neil Mullarkey around the same time. He returned to Toronto in 1986 and joined the cast of The Second City Toronto’s main stage production. He relocated to Chicago in 1988 to train, perform, and teach at the Improv Olympic.

Saturday Night Live
Myers joined the cast of Saturday Night Live on NBC in 1989. Mike played renowned roles such as Linda Richman, Dieter, Wayne Campbell, and many others on Saturday Night Live. Myers and fellow SNL cast member Dana Carvey got their own movie based on the Wayne character, named “Wayne’s World” (1992). “Wayne’s World,” which grossed $183 million worldwide, was a critical and commercial success.
