It appeared as if the Jeepers Creepers franchise had died after the third film was panned by critics, bombed at the box office, and became engaged in a controversy over writer and director Victor Salva’s 1980s conviction for child molestation (via Decider). It was, however, inactive, just like the creature it was named after.
Jeepers Creepers: Reborn, according to Variety, is putting together a new creative team. Timo Vuorensola, who is best known for the dark sci-fi comedy Iron Sky and its sequel (one of Netflix’s post-apocalyptic hidden gems), will helm the picture based on a story by Sean Michael Argo, a prolific B-movie writer, and filmmaker.
The Creeper (Jonathan Breck), a humanoid monster who lives in the American South and emerges every 23 years to gather body parts, was introduced in the first film.
After being mortally damaged, the Creeper resumed its hibernation in the original trilogy’s tale. Despite the fact that it is unknown how closely the next film would follow the events of the previous films, Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is likely to see the beast resurrect for a new hunt.
In addition, Variety says that this fourth installment will kick off a new trilogy of films. The following is a list of everything else we know about Jeepers Creepers: Reborn.

Jeepers Creepers 4 Release Date
Jeepers Creepers: Reborn was shot in Louisiana in December and January, according to Variety. While no official release date has been determined for the picture, it is expected to hit theatres sometime in the autumn of 2021.
A horror film’s autumn release date automatically conjures up visions of a Halloween-themed premiere. Jeepers Creepers, on the other hand, isn’t a horror franchise that’s intrinsically linked to the year’s creepiest day.
The Creeper is said to come in the spring, according to mythology. In addition, all of the previous films in the franchise were released in late August or September.
They might change things up to kick off this new trilogy, but a release date in the middle of the frantic summer blockbuster season and the October horror film avalanche could also work for this sequel.
As the year continues, we’ll learn the actual release date, but it looks like Jeepers Creepers: Reborn will come in late August or September 2022.
Jeepers Creepers 4 Plot
We learned a lot about Jeepers Creepers: Reborn’s storey from Variety’s report. According to the film’s synopsis, the action will take place once more in the deep south, this time in Louisiana.
The film will also be screened at the Horror Hound Festival, which “attracts hundreds of geeks, freaks, and die-hard horror fans from all around the world.” This location appears to be ideal for a Creeper’s post-hibernation feast.
Her horror-obsessed boyfriend, Chase, invites Laine, the film’s heroine, to the festival. She begins to have terrifying visions that foreshadow the Creeper’s arrival.
In the series, premonitions aren’t a new notion. Minxie (Nicki Aycox) was a character in Jeepers Creepers 2 who had prophetic visions of Creepers’ previous victims to warn her about the impending apocalypse beast.
This component of the series’ mythos has gotten less focus in previous films, so seeing how Laine’s visions are depicted would be fascinating.
According to speculations, these photographs will depict both the Creeper’s past and the Louisiana town itself. Will Jeepers Creepers: Reborn delve deeper into the franchise’s now-iconic monster’s past?
