The Crown Season 5 Cast, Release Date, & Trailer!

If the drama in the royal family right now isn’t enough to satisfy you, please watch The Crown on Netflix. The fourth season of the show was mostly about the beginning of the relationship and marriage between then-Prince Charles and Princess Diana. There was also a lot of political drama involving Margaret Thatcher. And you can trust that it made us want more. The good news is that season 5 will start in just a few weeks, but there will be an entirely new cast. Which is sad news for those of us who are drawn to Prince Charles for some reason. (NO, I DON’T NEED TO EXPLAIN MYSELF!)

Here’s what we know about season 5 of The Crown… Yes, technically this is a spoiler-free zone, but please keep in mind that this show is based on real events. In actuality!

This means that Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, Josh O’Connor, Emma Corrin, and others will have to leave the show.

The Crown Season 6 Release Date

The fifth season of The Crown will be available on Netflix on November 9, 2022. This was announced at Netflix’s TUDUM event in September.

The season is likely to have 10 episodes, like the seasons before it, but this has not been confirmed.

Deadline said before that filming wouldn’t start until June 2021. Variety also found out later that filming wouldn’t start at Elstree Studios in North London until July. So, it’s not strange that season 5 of The Crown won’t air until late 2022.

The difference is not a first. Whenever a new person has played the Queen, the time between seasons has been longer. After the first two seasons, Claire Foy handed over the reins (or is it reign?) to Olivia Colman, and there were no new episodes in 2018.
