Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva, who goes by the stage name Nina Dobrev, was born on January 9, 1989. She is best known for her roles as Katherine Pierce and Elena Gilbert in The CW’s supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries (2009–2015).
Dobrev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and grew up in Toronto, Canada. Before getting the part of Mia Jones on the drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation, she had small roles in a number of movies (2006–2009).

Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, on January 9, 1989. She is the daughter of computer expert Kamen Dobrev and artist Michaela Dobreva (née Radeva). After her family moved to Canada when she was two years old, she grew up in Scarborough, Toronto. When she was ten, she went back to Bulgaria with her mother for two years.
While he was at J. B. Tyrrell Sr. Public School and Vradenburg Junior Public School, Dobrev began taking ballet and jazz classes and competing in rhythmic gymnastics.

Nina hasn’t said much about the rumors that she’s changed her look, but she got angry when people on Instagram made rude comments about how she looks in 2019.
