Channing Tatum, who was previously married to actress Jenna Dewan for ten years, made headlines recently for his blossoming relationship with fellow actor Zoe Kravitz.
The couple has been attracting paparazzi lenses left and right, from being photographed during bike rides and on the red carpet to having lunch together and going on walkabouts.
Before the premiere of Kravitz’s directorial debut Pussy Island, in which Tatum will star, he has shared some wonderful details about his affection for her.
‘She’s a perfectionist in the greatest possible manner,’ the 41-year-old told People.
‘I was like, ‘You’ll need double the days,” he said, recalling his rumored girlfriend’s advice to reconsider taking an acting role in the film as well as the one of director.
‘I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he’s a true feminist, and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter,’ Kravitz previously told Deadline of her decision to cast Tatum in Pussy Island.

However, while Zoe Kravitz’s decision to cast him may have seemed apparent to her, Tatum admitted to being surprised when he was asked to star in the thriller, in which he will portray a tech millionaire with a mystery tropical island.
‘I was taken aback when Zo informed me of this…. I’d seen her in movies and knew she produced High Fidelity, which I’d seen, but I had no idea she was creating on this level, where she wanted to direct,’ he explained.
‘This appeared out of nowhere, and the topic matter made me wonder, ‘Wait, why are you considering me for this?’
‘No one offers me an opportunity to play a role like this, everyone throws me down a different alley and wants me to perform a certain thing,’ he continued, expressing his gratitude for her decision.
‘It was both terrifying and liberating to be able to have a free dialogue in which I was allowed to make mistakes and say inappropriate things.’
During the same joint interview with the magazine, Tatum also comically recounted Kravitz’s comments on his dress choices.
‘When someone can just come out and tell me I shouldn’t be wearing Crocs and is so enthusiastic about it, she fully convinced me and I no longer wear Crocs,’ he said.
‘I was only trying to be a nice friend, Chan!’ Kravitz answered.
‘I get it, but I completely liked Crocs for a hot second, and she was like, “You can’t ever do that again,”‘ he continued. “OK, fine,” I replied.
While Kravitz was discreet when asked about her romantic relationship with Tatum, expressing only that she is “happy” in her March 2022 Elle cover story, she praised over his abilities.
“I think he’s a feminist,” Kravitz stated after seeing his work and hearing him speak about Magic Mike and the live show. “You need to be so far away from who this is that it isn’t frightening. And I don’t believe we’ve ever seen him play a dark character. I’m looking forward to seeing him accomplish it.”
